Welcome to Roger's House!

Roger Neilson's legacy has been strengthened by the construction and opening of Roger's House - a dream that turned into a reality in just 2 years thanks to the generosity, compassion and support of thousands of people. Located on CHEO grounds, Roger's House provides a "home away from home" for children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. We would like to thank the leadership of the Sens Foundation and CHEO in making Roger's House a reality. Our ongoing partnership with both of these excellent organizations strengthens the service we are able to provide our families.

We now have No Parking signs around Roger’s House. This was mandated by the Fire Department to ensure they could reach both Roger’s House and OCTC. This has necessitated a few changes in parking around OCTC. New signs around OCTC will be posted in December.

Roger’s House families and volunteers will now be able to load and unload their vehicles at the OCTC curbside. Those with disabled parking stickers will also be able to park in the disabled parking spots in front of the play park as long as they have a Roger’s House permit on the dash and respect the new 2 hour time limit during weekdays.

Parking will be permitted along the OCTC curbside weekdays after 4 pm and on weekends as long as a Roger’s House or OCTC permit is displayed on the dash. Volunteers attending education sessions in the evening can use these spots. When volunteer numbers warrant more parking in the evenings or weekends, we will have a special parking pass to swipe each volunteer car in and out of Lot D.

Fines will be enforced by the city for illegally parking in the disabled parking spots and in the fire route. Roger’s House can not prevent, influence or pay for parking fines.
