Susan Richardson

Susan Richardson is Vice President, Professional Services, at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). She completed her Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy, at Queen’s University and a Master’s of Business Administration at the University of British Columbia. She has also completed a fellowship program in Executive Training for Research Application (EXTRA) through the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF).
As a member of the executive team at CHEO, Susan is responsible for Diagnostic Imaging, Genetics, Newborn Screening Ontario, Laboratories, Pharmacy, Autism, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care as well as allied health professional practice. Susan is providing leadership for the development of a Maternal/Newborn Centre in collaboration with the Regional Maternal Newborn Program Leadership. She is also Executive Lead for BORN Ontario.
Susan is a strong advocate for patient and family-centered care; her interests include patient safety and continuity of care. Currently, she is the Chair of the Canadian Association of Pediatric Health Centres. Susan has memberships in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian College of Health Services Executives.
