Ruth Hartanto (Chair)

As a member of Roger's House Board of Directors, I serve as the FAC chair. I was previously a member of CHEO's Family Forum and participated in the planning phase of Roger's House. My daughter, Sydney, born with a rare syndrome, was 'medically fragile and technologically dependent.' She passed away April 2009 in her 13th year. All through Sydney's life, CHEO and Roger's House supported my family and our goal to provide our daughter with the best possible life at home. Respite at Roger's House allowed Sydney to have fun with friends, while our family was able to take holidays. After Sydney's passing, Roger's House has supported our family through bereavement. Sydney's star now hangs in the playroom.
